This may have already been answered.I know you can filter out certain files by name and I know you can direct users to certain folders but is there anyway you can specify certain folders to not display as I wish to direct users to a certain folder but there is a folder in that I would like to hide if possible.Any help much appreciated.

Yes the 5.3 version.  The image browser was coming up with a security error aswell and I tried a switch to version2 .net and used the dll files in the framework 2 folder and this seemed to correct the problem with the image browser but not with the spellchecker.
