• Special Characters & HTML Entities

Special characters (entered via the Special Characters button - omega symbol) are not always converted to HTML entities. e.g. the symbol for the British Pound £ should be encoded £ in the HTML but in actual fact is not encoded at all. There are many (if not most) other characters that can be inserted via this Special ...

  • Anchor Tags

When inserting anchors into a document, the CuteEditor only sets the name attribute, however, the name attribute has been deprecated by the XHTML 1.0 specification in favour of the id attribute. The recommendation therefore is that in the interim both the name and the id attributes be set to the same value. Is this likely to be ...

  • Re: Extend TD Properties Dialog

Hi Adam, While on the subject of accessibility related tags and attributes, could you also consider adding support for COL and COLGROUP tags in tables? Kind Regards Andy

Hi Adam, That is excellent news, are you able to give me an approximate date for the release of this minor version update. I can probably persuade my customer to wait if the timescales are reasonable. Kind Regards Andy

Hi Adam, I could really do with an answer to this question, even if it is to say that it cannot be done. Thanks Andy

  • Re: Deprecated HTML Tags

Hi Adam, According to Danny Goodman's Dynamic HTML book, <del> is supported by Netscape 6+ and IE 4+ and I can confirm that it works in Firefox 1.0.7 and Opera 8.02 so is it really that weak (I have not tested non-windows browsers which you probably have)? Your example, however, is not really fair because you are not ...

  • W3C WAI and section 508 Accessibility Guidelines

Hi, Do you document anywhere exactly what features of the control support these guidelines? Is it possible to enforce the guidelines by making certain attributes of tags mandatory rather than optional e.g. the alt attribute of an img tag or summary attribute of a table tag? Kind Regards Andy

  • Deprecated HTML Tags

Hi, Your product documentation states that the editor does not use deprecated HTML tags, however, the strikethrough text button inserts the deprecated <strike> tags rather than using <del> tags or style text-decoration:line-through. Kind Regards Andy

  • Extend TD Properties Dialog

Hi, I should like to be able to set the following attributes for a TD tag and therefore should like to customise the existing TD properties dialog to include them: id, abbr, headers, scope I should like to do the same for the TH tag with the addition of the axis attribute. Is it possible to 'extend' the existing ...
