IE8 / Vista: no refresh after fileupload

This appears to work fine in the latest Firefox, but in IE8 on Vista when uploading a new image file to replace an old one, there is no automatic refresh and it appears as if the original file was never overwritten.

I'm assuming that there is a Javascript hiccup somewhere for IE.

    Dear Cassiopeia,

Can you reproduce this issue in http://phphtmledit.com/EnableAll.php? What's your detailed reproduce steps?

    Thanks for asking

Re: IE8 / Vista: no refresh after fileupload

yes, same issue ....... plus another one

    1. click on the second image (dunes 200x131)
    2. go to img properties
    3. click on "browse" (if path shows "http://phphtmledit.com/" remove everything before /Uploads or you'll get a 404 error.)
    4. click "upload files"
    5. choose a file with the same name (ph02366j.jpg 80x76) on your hard drive
    6. on upload, IE will still show the original file with the width/height adjusted to the original file 200x131 even if the inserted image had been resized.
    7. the only way I was able to get the new image to actually display in the editor was to flip to preview and back.

Re: IE8 / Vista: no refresh after fileupload

    Dear Cassiopeia,

This is a browser cache issue. Basically once someone went to the site once, even if the images in the server changed, the user would still see the original images because the image was cached on their computer. As a web application, Cute Editor doesn't have the permission to clear your local browser cache.
