We have been using the UploadAttachments control in our application for uploading images into a SQL Server database.

This has generally worked fine but we have a client who has reported an error. When an attempt is made to upload multiple images, an error occurs and an IE dialog is shown with the error 'Non-negative number required. Parameter name: count'.

The problem only occurs on a group of computers in that location. Other computers connecting to the same application on the same server don't experience this problem. Unfortunately, we can't reproduce this problem on our development machines either.

I suspect this problem is related to the version of IE that the client has (IE 6 version v6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.090804-1412)

Has anyone else here come across this problem or are there any known issues that have been reported against this particular version of IE?

Any advice that anyone could give to help us further diagnose this problem would also be much appreciated!

Please let that customer test http://ajaxuploader.com/Demo/Ajax-based-File-storage.aspx, this example store uploaded files to sql server and supports multiple files upload. It should be very similar to your code. Please tell us whether your customer can reproduce this issue in our example.

The customer has attempted to upload an image file using the link that you've provided. 

 

Although the error dialog doesn't appear, the file doesn't appear to properly uploaded. 

 

The image file is 109KB in size but it appears as 0KB on your website. The Id's of the images are 3174 and 3175.

 

Does this give you enough information to look into this further or do you need some additional information from me?

Please let your client try the steps below.

 

1. Try upgrade flash/silverlight to the latest version.

 

2. Try test it on another browser on the same pc.

 

3. Try disable all browser plug-ins, Anti-virus software and firewall to test.

 

4. Test this page http://ajaxuploader.com/demo/fulltest.aspx and show me which can works for you client.
