    setting the CuteEditor to "PasteText" there is a problem pasting a Text written in Word 2007 using Firefox 3.5.2

    as you may see Firefox adds a (long) comment tag in the beginning of the html-coding.

    I received your word document. And I can reproduce this issue. The word document you sent contains the <!-- /* Font Definitions */ -->. By default, Cute Editor will protect all code between <!-  -->.
     
    We are investigating this issue and resolve it as soon as possible.

    i think i can confirm that this firefox issue is (mostly) solved.
     
    ... but there is a new problem
    using firefox, cuteeditor PasteText demo on your website i now get the following rendering
    if you look to the original text you will see, that the alle linebrakes are wrong

    i just installed cuteeditor 6.5. to see if there is any progress with this issue:
     
    again i used firefox  3.7.5, took the same Winword 2007 Text and pressed ALT V
     
    after that the normal-View (not html-view) shows the following content:

    but i did the test with your latest editor version at 
    http://cutesoft.net/example/editor-onpaste.aspx an got the error again:
     
     
    this is exactly the same behavior i have in here in within our 6.6  test environment: "the above mentioned  html rendering in cuteeditors normal(!) view"
     
    btw: you can reproduce this error with the wordfile i send you by email 14.9.2009 .

    i can reproduce this error with a lot of FF-Versions (using currently 3.6)
     
     
    here comes what your cuteeditor demo returns (htmlview pasted into a code tag)
     (if you are not familiar with german, than you should know that nearly every linebreak cuteeditor created is wrong)
     
    hope you will fix it, because our customers currently cant use ff at all because of this issue

    i found out something interesting.
     
    the behaviour mentioned above only occurs when i paste use CTRL-V
     
    using the toolstrip dialog it works as a user would expect it.

    Hi Adam,
     
    We are wondering if this issue has been fixed....  We are having this issue with Firefox and CuteSoft Editor 6.6.0.  Our EditorOnPaste is set to PasteText and when we copy from Word and paste it into Firefox using CTRL-V, we get the weird line breaks.  
     
    This is very frustrating and it would be great if we could get a resolution.

    Please send me your test word document and remove the unnecessary content, just keep the simple content which will shows this problem.

    By the way, what firefox version you are testing? Do you get the same  problem on demo http://cutesoft.net/example/editor-onpaste.aspx?

    To answer your questions, yes it happens with the demo editor you supplied. (I selected "PasteText" and "PastePureText" - both times it happened.) We have seen this same issue happen with many versions of Firefox on many different computers - but I am currently using Firefox 11.0.  And it is not specific to a particular Word document - it every time we copy any text from Word directly into the editor - ie. not using the button in the toolbar.  I have had dozens of clients report this issue.
     
    Here is an example:
     
    When I paste this text:
    Most Canadians haven’t seen much ice this winter. Our trip to Iceland might be the perfect tonic. Join us in July as we travel to the freezing white of Europe’s greatest glaciers. We’ll explore the fantastic landscapes of western Iceland and observe cetacean, avian and geothermal activity. There are black volcanic beaches, towering glaciers, spouting geysers and freezing white ice.
     
    It appears like this in the editor:

    trip to Iceland
    might be the perfect tonic. Join us in July as we travel to the freezing white
