temp directory location

Hello,

I am using the Framework 2.0-Csharp-MicrosoftAjax ajaxdownloader component. In that I am testing the selecting-multiple-files.aspx.

I have the following setting in my webconfig <add key="CuteWebUI.AjaxUploader.TempDirectory" value="~/UploaderTemp"/>. The multiple upload works fine, no issues with that. My question is how do I locate the UploaderTemp directory? I am assuming the files would show up in this directory after the upload is completed, right?

My application is under C:\inetpub\wwwroot\webapplication2. I do not see the UploaderTemp directory here nor under C:\windows\temp.

Your temp file location should be:

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\webapplication2\UploaderTemp

No, I do not see it there. As soon as I upload I try to look into webapplication2 (refreshed the folder), I do not see it.

Have you set the temp folder in the web.config?

For example:

If not, you may using the sytemp temp folder. Please run the following code to get the system temp folder:

<%=System.IO.Path.GetTempPath()%>

Yes, I have set the temp folder in the web.config. In face that is the first line in my first thread. In spite of this setting I found out that the uploader is using the C:\Documents and Settings\CDNMSC3\ASPNET\Local Settings\Temp\AjaxUploaderTemp directory.

The files show up as persisted.cbbf4f7a-6a2d-43be-a78a-46ad221a8d7f.PLISProjects.ppt.resx.

How do I overwrite this behavior to upload files into C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WebApplication2\UploaderTemp ?

I downloaded the latest build. I notice the change in CuteWebUI.AjaxUploader.dll timestamp. I removed the old .dll from the bin and replaced it with the one from the new build and added as the reference in the studio, compiled it and tried in a new browser. It still did not work.

The files were uploaded to C:\Documents and Settings\CDNMSC3\ASPNET\Local Settings\Temp\AjaxUploaderTemp

OK..Finally it worked. I had to set AutoUseSystemTempFolder="false. It started using the UploaderTemp folder. Then I had to grant access to UploaderTemp (ASPNET Machine account access). It works fine now.

Its' strange.

If you set the temp folder in the web.config, uploader should ignore the AutoUseSystemTempFolder setting.
