Selecting images to insert in document extremely slow

When I am inserting an image into a document, drilling down to the folder and image file in the Insert dialog is extremely slow. It can take a minute or longer per image.

Is there a setting that can speed this process up?

I am running DNN 4.5.5 on a dedicated Windows Server 2003 machine with 2GB RAM and XEON processors.

Do you have the same problem with this example?

If you have few image files in that folder, will it work?

No, the example link is much faster than what I am experiencing. Is there a setting that I can change to speed things up?

Tugboat,

Can you check the Image Gallery Path? Maybe this issue is caused by too many files in that folder.
