Can someone please help with this error? I don't know what the problem is.. I've tried digging in the code.. I think the database connection is ok because when i muck with that, i get a different error.. what is Invalid Location error? is that a system error generated from the CuteChat dll? I dont see it in the localization xml files.

i cant get to the admin folder either.. it keeps redirectingme to login.aspx in the root... i am guess i have the above error because i need a a valid LocationId for the chat room.. but before that, i need to go to the admin to set up the locations?

ok, i think i hacked some stuff and fixed that.. i think.. not sure.. how to add a chatroom? i can add a lobby, dont know how to add a chatroom and channel thing...

i think i got it to work... creating the lobby creates the room? its just that when i look inthe database at the channel table, it has locationId, the  chat lobby doesnt.... but there is not record for the channel ... not sure what the LocationId in teh query string is for then..... confused but consider this one closed for now... thanks

Which version of Cute Chat are you using?

 

How did you create those rooms?

 

The correct method to creata a new room is:

 

Login as admin, click chat admin, choose "Room Administration" tab. Then create/edit/delete the rooms there.

 

In the following query string:

 

CuteSoft_Client/CuteChat/CH_MainForm.Aspx?Location=Lobby&LocationId=8

 

For cute chat, Location always is Lobby

The LocationId can be found in the "Room Administration" page.
