IE 8 and Image Upload Issues

We are trying to upload an image over an existing image and in IE 8 the upload button stops working.

Using CuteEditor to add HTML5 video

Hi,

Could you advise on whether Cute Editor (PHP version) is able to set up HTML5 video tags, with multiple sources (MP4 / WEBM / Ogg) plus legacy code, via its GUI without having to manually insert these in HTML view? I haven't been able to find any info on this in the documentation or forum.

Adding word to aspell dictionary doesn't reflect in editor

Hello,

I added several words to the aspell dictionary on the server side but when I use the words in the editor, the words still show up as incorrect with red underline. However, when I click on the spellcheck (Editor/Dialogs/SpellCheck.php), it says the word is not misspelled. So it looks like the word was added correctly in aspell but the editor is not picking up the new words. How do I get the editor to accept these new words?

We are getting this error

Error:mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists , failed to make dir 'C:\WINDOWS\Temp/uploadertemp' , at D:\Website\xx\xx\cuteeditor_files\Dialogs\phpuploader\include_phpuploader.php line 199

We have hosted the site in IIS. I found on of your threads that gave solutions for fixing this. I followed them and included $uploader->TempDirectory = "D:/Website/xx/xx/";

in Dialog/upload.php

Now the above error is no more but created another when trying to upload something. We get this error:

Server side exception : failed to upload 1.jpg
Debug Information:
(1) tmp_name is not exists C:\WINDOWS\Temp\php24D.tmp

Need help urgently. We are running phphtmledit using license in most our clients and we need to fix ASAP. If you need any info from our side please email dhanushka.k@adsinbay.com

Is there a way to limit the size (not file size) of an image that is inserted?

I want to keep images less then xxx pixels wide when they are put on a page.

Paste Button brings up Past From Word input box

We are having a small issue with the paste button in our context menu. When it is clicked, the Paste From Word dialog box comes up. Paste From Word is also included in the context menu and displays the Paste From Word dialog box as it should. However, Paste should not. Additionally, when CTRL+V is pressed (hotkey), text pastes correctly (inserted directly into the text field without a dialog box).

I checked the demo on the main site to ensure it wasn't a browser issue or something similar. The demo works correctly. It must be something in my customization, but I can't find exactly what it is. Here is my context menu XML:

IE 9 Bug Issue

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone is having troubles with the WYSIWYG editor with Internet Explorer 9.

When I use one of the options that has a pop up window, after I have done what I have needed to do within the pop up window click onto either OK or Cancel and it comes up with the following alert:

The webpage you are viewing is trying to close window.

Do you want to close this window?

Clicking onto Yes closes IE window all together.

Have you come across this problem / issue?

Code Snippet configuration

I have a code snippet that fails to insert the code. I have determined that 2 areas of the code snippet seem to be potential causes of the problem, (1) the onclick javascript and (2) the style setting for the IMG tag.

The snippet is as follows and is a simple Highslide invocation to load an iframe with an image and the IMG background URL simply places a play button the the img.

If I remove both of these the snippet works.

If I insert the exact same code into the HTML panel it works perfectly.

I tried the false setting for the script inject security setting but it made no difference

Any suggestions would be appreciated as ajax facilities are essential on my application so these snippets become more important each day and i like the cuteeditor a lot for its flexibility

Problem with mysql insert

Hello, I noticed a problem that when I get $_POST["Editor1"] value and I want it to post in my DB, in case if I have modified any part of text with fonts which are from Simple template (Comic Sans MS, Lucida console and Times New Roman) the MySQL INSERT query doesn't work, for all other fonts query works.. I'm not sure what's the problem but I believe that it could be something with spaces in Common.config file, i've tryed to change spaces with   but it only gave me error "Error while parsing the Configuration fileConfiguration/Shared/Common.config".

Can anyone help me resolve this? Thanks.

Extraneous HTML in Chrome and IE9

Hi,

When going back and forth between Normal and HTML, cute editor is putting extraneous characters in the HTML view. I am using the current 6.6 version. I am entering "test" in both scenarios below.

For IE9:

And this is what gets passed to the Javascript API. My 2 problems with this is I can not tell if the textarea is empty and I am saving that extraneous tags into my database. Please let me know if this can be corrected with the current version.

Multiple editors not working properly

Editor 'stealing' focus on form load

Hello,

Setting the focus parameter for the editor isn't working for me.

I've used $editor->Focus=false; when I create the editor object, but the editor stil retains it's focus.

Additionally I've tried forcing focus on the form using an image onload method, but with no success.

Is there a fundamental issue with the editor's Focus setting, or am I doing something wrong.

Custom "Properties" button

I am trying to add a custom button to my toolbar which, when clicked, will open the Properties dialog for the element currently having focus ... but I am at a loss at how to do that. The current Properties dialog is buried too deep for my liking, so I want a more accessible button in the toolbar.

Any help would be appreciated.

uploading image problem.

I have just downloaded and installed CuteEditor and it works perfeclty using text and stuff, Im in love with it.
But the thing is I dont know why i cant upload images.
When i go and click on the image and it asks to uplod the pic , when i click upload it shows : The website cannot display the page.

it doesnt also show my folder "uploads "which i created at the root folder.

What whould I do this case.

I'm haveing some trouble inserting images from my own custom imagegallery into the editor, this is what I have done.

A custom button

When the user clicks the button, the dialog window loads perfectly, and I can select and add pictures to the gallery without problems.

My script creates an html img tag, and I want to return this to the editor.

My script looks like this

I think the problem has something to do with eidtor1.PasteHTML(imagestring) - and also I'm not sure how to close the window :)

IE9 Upload buttons are not working

Hi,

Installed the latest CuteEditor PHP 6.6 by replacing the files with the new one and making sure the license is also copied over.

The upload Button does not work at all after that in IE9.

The button works on FF and Chrome.

The demo URL (http://phphtmledit.com/EnableAll.php)buttons work.

Do not know what could be the issue?

Please help as this is a LIVE site.

I can share login details for checking and code sharing on a private email also.

Button Roll-Over Bug in Firefox

Upon selecting text and clicking the "bold" or "italic" buttons, they move into an active state:

class="CuteEditorButtonActive"

Then, while that text is still selected in the edit window, and those buttons still showing an active state, the user can mouse over those buttons temporarily triggering an over state:

class="CuteEditorButtonOver"

Finally, when the cursor moves off of those buttons, instead of moving back to the active state, it triggers the default state:

class="CuteEditorButton"

This, in effect, loses the active state of those buttons in firefox, even when the text is highlighted and marked up as bold/italic during this entire process.

This doesn't happen in testing with IE8, but the majority of our users are using firefox, so it would be great if this could work correctly in both browsers. Any pointers as to how to make that happen?

moved 2 cute editors, one working, other gets error message

I recently moved two CuteEditor installations from an old hosting company to a new one. One went fine, no problems. For the other I am getting the following error message:
