new admin logins not working

Hello

I am trying the demo version of live support. I make a new user and assign them the role of admin. WHen I log out and try to login as the new admin, it doesn't work. I can login but I can't access any manage pages nor see the dashboard link in the header. Is it something I'm doing wrong?

is it possible to customize start chat window in order to include additional form fields, e.g. city selector?

we'd like to have some sort of geotargeting and we need the client would be connected to an operator in his city.

IE9 and Operator Error

Hi Community and Support, I purchased a 10 domain Small Business Licence around June 2010, I am only using two domains as of yet, these two were deployed towards the end of 2010, for some time now we have been aware of an issue with IE9 and the operator client giving an error message if IE9 was installed on an operator machine, we have got around this so far by not upgrading to IE9, however the operator team is about to expand and the company that I work with wishes to knock this error and issue on the head.

I have searched the forum and found similar issues re IE9, the general advice given is to upgrade to the latest version, is this still the recommended solution? If so could you point me to the required update files please?

For information purposes I have checked and the dll seems to be version 5.1 if that is of any use...

CPU Spikes on Screen Drag

We use the live support with the supervisor CSR having a 9" Doublesight USB monitor. The app runs over there and when needed they drag it over to their main screen. This cause a spike in CPU usage (the last I saw was 65% from 1-5% normally) and then a while of lag time until the screen catches up. Has anyone else seen this problem. Thanks

Popup on client gets stuck & canned messages

I'm running the Cute Live Support client on a Windows7 machine and after starting the application and closing the initial "Welcome to Cute Live Support" popup, if I lock my computer and then log back in I get the "Welcome to Cute Live Support" popup in the upper left and then I am unable to close it out without Exiting the application. Any solution to this?

The second question I have is about canned messages. I understand they are a local XML file but is it possible to change its location or assign it to look at a URL or write some code to interface with a database?

Security scan failure on Cute Live Support - Predictable Cookie Session IDs

Hi,

Our website has failed an external security scan recently due to Predictable Cookie Session IDs from one of the Cute Live Support pages. I was wondering if you have a suggestion to remedy this problem. The page it picked up was "CuteSoft_Client/CuteChat/Suppor

t-Visitor-monitor-crossdomain.js.aspx" and the error was for Low Entropy. "The cookie was found to have only 26.3539045366726bits of entropy."

I suspect this is caused in this line of code "customerid='<%=ChatWebUtility.CreateGuidByDate()%>';", is there an alternative you can suggest to make this more secure?

Operation Aborted error

Hi,

One of our clients has sent us this error message that appeared when they tried to use the live support system on our site.

A first dialog appeared with the message...

Error on event : USER, Operation aborted

at function _Sync_HandleSTCMessage(message)

{

followed by the code block for this function.

}

When OK'ed, a second code block appeared with the message...

Event Handler : function SUI_HandleChatEvent(name,type,info1,info2)

{

followed by the full code block for this event handler

}

They are using IE8 on an Win XP platform.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this error on their machine?

Operator message default font

Hi,

I would like to know how if it possible to set the default font of the operators message in the support client's window.

At the minute, the font is something like Times New Roman which doesn't fit with the style of our site. I can set the size using the .UserMessage CSS class in SupportClient.css but it seems to override any font family I enter.

I know that you can set the font in the Live Support Operator client software under the Options button in the conversation pane. This, however, only sets it for that specific conversation and if a new conversation starts, the font returns to the Times New Roman.

Insidently, when I go in the options window the default font is MS Sans Serif so all I have to do is open the options window and the click OK to change the font. This is not really what we want for our client though as we don't expect them to have to set the font everytime they open a conversation.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Live Support and IE9

I'm testing your Live Support product and it seems to do everything I need, but I have a major issue with IE9. Once I've had one chat the system always thinks there is an ongoing chat and I'm sent directly to the chat window, so I end up in an empty chat room with no notifications to the operators.

I've also tested this in Chrome and it works perfect in that browser.

Can I show operators online in the client window?

Is it possible for the customer to request a specific operator rather than just a department, and only display that operator if they are online at the time the customer initiates the request? Or alternatively I was thinking that I could set up departments based on the operator name, but if the "department" isn't online, I don't want it displayed in the drop down list of departments when initiating the request. Is there any way to do this?

I am still getting the licensing error even after purchasing .Net Enterprise License. Let me tell you that i have already replaced the old trail version of license file with the new one and have already tried by every means replacing the whole folder and all, but still facing the same problem that pops up stating "A license is required for all but personal use of this code".
