Can force the editor into a given mode?

Within an ASP.NET page, is there a way to force the editor into a selected mode (Normal, HTML or Preview)? Is there a command to hide the 'Normal' button (like the ShowPreviewMode = false and ShowHTMLMode = false commands)?
