Re: Media Playback in Gecko-based browsers

Sorry, I've been out of the coding loop with teacher support and classroom responsibilities for the last week...have only had the last hour to climb back into it.

Again, this isn't flash...it's WMV. As mentioned elsewhere, CuteEditor through FireFox thinks it's flash when uploaded or inserted, but CuteEditor though IE knows it's a video....though that's of no consequence since either browser works.

Here is the home page for my blog system which has a video inserted right on the page...

    https://edtech.fcps.net/blog/

...and that video plays fine in IE and not in FireFox. the "Properties" window for the video using Firefox shows a path of

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033\.\uploads\media\1\media\multimedia.wmv

The full URL of the video is https://edtech.fcps.net/uploads/media/1/media/multimedia.wmv, which is exactly how IE shows it.

As I mentioned, it doesn't matter at all which browser I use to enter the video. Also, the home page above is NOT the place where the video is first entered, just a display of the database text entry stored as pulled from a CuteEdit window elsewhere. Let me know which config settings I need to give you to check this.
