is it possible to customize  start chat window in order to include additional form fields, e.g. city selector?

we'd like to have some sort of geotargeting and we need the client would  be connected to an operator in his city.

You can find all source code of the start chat window at "\CuteSoft_Client\CuteChat\SupportClient.aspx", and add any new field there directly. By you need to save the value by your own code.

Ok, I can change the form. But we need to have some functionality for the new field. Namely, we'd like to connect users with corresponding operators depending on selected city. It's very similar like the department field works.

I see only two options here:

1. we can rename department field to 'city' and use the current functionality in order to divide operators by city.

2. if we need both department field and city field we need the full source code license in order to rewrite the script under our needs though this case is more complicated and costly.

are there another solutions?

If you want to achieve this reuqirement, then the only way is change the source code.
