    The License for Editor is not valid

    I installed the trial version of cute edit for .NET on our server last night and this morning I am getting this error

    'The License for Editor is not valid'

    I thought I had 30 days.

    Any idea what is happening.

    Thanks

    It's strange. I have checked the trial license file. It's OK.

    When did you download the control? Can you download the license file again?

    Re: The License for Editor is not valid

    Now I’m getting the same error on my localhost.

    I wasn’t before.

    I have already tried downloading it again. No luck.

    I only downloaded the software yesterday. I don’t think I have installed it before. Is that the error I would get if I had?

    This is the error page I get running the demo

    Server Error in '/CuteEdit' Application.

    The License for Editor is not valid.

    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

    Exception Details: System.ComponentModel.LicenseException: The License for Editor is not valid.

    Source Error:

    The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

    1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

      <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

    or:

    2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

    <configuration>
       <system.web>
           <compilation debug="true"/>
       </system.web>
    </configuration>

    Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

    Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

    Re: The License for Editor is not valid

    Hi, i have just registered and dowloaded Cute Editor for .NET 3.0 today. However, I am getting an error stating that the licence for editor is not valid. In the bin directory the CuteEditor.Lic is dated as 12/11/2004. What could be the problem, please advice. Thanks

    Re: The License for Editor is not valid

    I had a similar problem.  I am running DotNetNuke 3.0.13.  I tried the license file in this post, which was the one I already had, and I still get an error saying the license is invalid.  I am very interested in this product, but would like to test it out first to make sure it fits what I need.  Your help is appreciate.

    Re: The License for Editor is not valid

    Thanks for the welcome and the response.  I reinstalled everything and it now works.  Its possible I used the files in the base bin folder instead of the specific dotnetnuke 3 bin folder the first time.  Thank you for the help.  The editor is great.  I particularly like the file upload integration for dotnetnuke.  Consider me a new customer.

    Greetings... I have the same problem.

    We've integrated Cute Editor into our web app and it worked beautifully. Then I get the "The License for Editor is not valid" error.

    Any help to solve this would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
