CE automatically places http before text-link

    Hello there,

It must be a setting, but when I type www.test.com in CE, CE correctly makes an URL out of it.
However, in my application it makes http://www.test.com in stead of www.test.com.

In the demo everything works fine. Is there a setting I do not know about?

    Hi JesseGrunn,

Is your site online? If so, can you post the editor page url here and show me the steps to reproduce this issue?

    What browser you are using?

    Regards,

    Hi Kenneth,

I've found it. If URLType is set to absolute, CE behaves this way. You can check it on this demo:

Sadly, I need URLs to be absolute for images, so settings this property is a must...

Re: CE automatically places http before text-link

    Of course:

    - Select "Absolute URLs"
    - Clear editor area
    - Type www.test.com and hit "ENTER" or "SPACE"
    - Move with the mouse over the bottom section "NORMAL | HTML | Preview" or click "HTML" and then "NORMAL"

It only happens in IE since Firefox and Chrome do not make links of them automatically.

    Hi JesseGrunn,

Change the text to link is the IE behavior, it Due to browser limitation, this issue is not easy to resolve.  I will go ahead and report to our development team. Once issue is resolved, I will keep you posted.
