Problems with Emotion in Web Messenger

I am facing an issue with emotions which even seems to be the case on the demo site http://dotnetdate.com/. The issue is when I  open a one-to-one chat in Web messenger & type in some emotion like :) it doesn't get converted to the smiley icon. But strangely when I  start an 'Invite' chat and send the :) as a message and it shows the emotion as expected. Why is this inconsistency ? The same issue can be observed on the demo site. Does anyone  has encountered this issue and is there any fix available for this.

    Cheers!

    Hi dhananjaym,
We have tested this question.  When you input :) in IE and click send, it will send a smile symbo which is similar to  . In firefox, it only send :) and not the emotional symbol.  This is a kind question of browser compatibility. We will solve it in future release.
