Toolbar icons take an age to show then often will not appear at all

Using CuteEditor.NET 6.3

This is very frustrating as it is my clients who point this out.

Major issue is the complete failure to show icons as well as the text for editing.

Any suggestions what may be the issue?

Should I implement some type of caching to improve functioning?

Do you mean the icons in the spell checker dialog?

Can you reproduce this issue in the following example?

This item is not about the Spell checker as such but YES no icons appear to assist in spell checking and no dialog appears either.

I'm using English language file (both US ans AU).

This item is about the failure of all the toolbar icons to appear after say the first time when it takes an absolute age to load them.

I've got Editor in an asp.NET DetailsView Control in the Edit Template.

I may do one edit successfully but on a subsequent edit the icons fail to appear and the text to be edited (coming from a web-database) does not appear either.

Sorry this is so messy but the problem has turned messy too!

Can you try the following code?

Does it happen to every clients or one particular client?

Can you post a screenshot?

Thanks Adam.

I've found the cause of problems and hence have worked around.

The editor was embedded in an Ajax Update Panel that seemed to cause the problems (a clash of technologies I suppose).

Now the spell checking works and all toolbar icons appear. I'm still concerned by the length of time it initially takes to load the first lot of tool bar icons (it seems there are about 113 odd images to bring down before we are working even when I cut down the number of items in the toolbar).

What I'd like to see is an example of how to use the Editor withing Ajax Update Panels and the best practice approach to setting up a customised Toolbar. I'm sure most of my problems are due to my ignorance.
