Failed to map the path "/" With ImageGalleryPath

Hey,

I read this : http://cutesoft.net/developer+guide/Specifying-images-path.htm . But it's doesn't work. I put the physical path for ImageGalleryPath and I have an error like Failed to map......

If you have an idea...

If the physical path is not inside the web application's directory, you will get an error.

In the following code example, the physical path "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\uploads" is part of web application's directory.

C# Example:

//use the app-based path 

Editor1.Setting["security:ImageGalleryPath"]= "~/uploads";

//use the absolute path 
Editor1.Setting["security:ImageGalleryPath"]= "/uploads";

//use the physical path 
Editor1.Setting["security:ImageGalleryPath"]= @"c:\inetpub\wwwroot\uploads";

//use the app-based path 

Editor1.SetSecurityImageGalleryPath= "~/uploads";

//use the absolute path 
Editor1.SetSecurityImageGalleryPath= "/uploads";

//use the physical path 
Editor1.SetSecurityImageGalleryPath= @"c:\inetpub\wwwroot\uploads";

Is there a known workaround for this? This isn't very convenient, especially when the tools used to edit a site are not located in the same directory as the site.

If you want to use the physical path, the physical path must be inside the web application's directory.

Otherwise, you need to use the virtual directory.

This is a major part of what i do with Cute Editor and was easily handled in the older version of CuteEditor ASP.

Is there no known work around. The Virtual Directory thing is fine, except when I'm trying to debug and can't setup a VD. Can yall make a work around otherwise I may have to find another vendor. Which is sad, because I've always liked Cute Editor.

What do you mean?

Can you explain what's wrong with the following code? The Classic ASP version doesn't have the feature to support using the physical path as ImageGalleryPath.

C# Example:

//use the app-based path
