How to get the richtext format out?

Hi,

i used the editor to edit the text in richtext format and saved it in the database. and when i bring it back and load it in a word document i am able to see the html version imean with tags etc etc.

How to get the text back from the database to the word document with the same format which is written in editor

Please use the following properties:

Editor.Text Property

This property provides access to the text within the editable area of the CuteEditor control. It can be used to set the text when the control is first displayed and also to read out the text when a form has been submitted.

Editor.XHTML Property

Retrieves the CuteEditor HTML content in XHTML format.

i used the Editor.text property and got the text .

let me explain. if i have entered

Hi i am Testing.

when i read from Editor using Editor1.text the text which is stored in database is

Hi i am Testing.

And when i retrieving the data from data base and loading into word document, i am getting

Hi i am Testing.

But i need to get Hi i am Testing.

So what to do for that?

using other tool which allows me to get the data from database to word. So for that, is the input format to the database to be changed which is by this tool or the output format which is the tool i am using.

Word document doesn't use HTML code at all. You need some special tool to convert HTML code to the word document.

Hi,

In your database example, just see, you have a grid and a Cuteeditor. When you enter data in Cute editor and load the grid gets data from database and loads fine. I want to know, The data base columns field is stored with html tags, right?.

then how did the output came in rich text format , let me know that one.Forget about word.

If i have a grid, and i need to get what i enterd in the editor, then what is getting loaded into database

"Hi i am Testing. " this format or

"Hi i am Testing."

I want to know that, the database columns contains what value?

I want to clearly explain to you. When yu are adding data from teh editor to the database, how is it stored, take a sample text and tell me how is it stored in databae, and how is it retrived in the grid
