Problem nesting Cute Editor in Splitter Pane

Hello,

I'm using Cude Editor nested in splitter pane ( which is other control). Here is the screenshop of the problem i have. Do you have solution for this?

See where the Size drop down is opened. We are using version 5.2

It looks like it's a JavaScript Conflict. A simple workaround is setting Editor.RenderRichDropDown Property to false.

Editor.RenderRichDropDown Property

Specify whether the dropdown render as rich style . IE5 always use simple select element.

The problem is that you are using overflow-y property for one of your elements (surrounding cute editor). Cute Editor is not smart enough to figure out the correct coordinates of where to popup a dropdown element because absolute coordinates are calculated differently when "overflow-y" property is in use - to calculate coordinates correctly - they have to use "scrollTop" in addition to "offsetParent" property.

Your workaround is to put an iframe in place of cuteEditor and place a cute editor inside that iframe - there is more coding involved to accomplish that as well as more javascript hacks.

Is it possible this to be fixed in some of the new versions? Not using RichDropDowns is not the best solution.

This issue will be fixed in the version 6.0, major release of 2006.
