Could you please make CuteEditor easier to implement in the next release?

    Some concerns :

    1) Could you please find a way to release CuteEditor with no code in the .aspx files?  CuteEditor has significantly added to the compile time of my app.  If all the code was neatly contained in the .DLL, this wouldn't be the case.
    2) Could you please decrease the number of .ASPX and .js files?  Whenever I do a search in VS, it takes forever because it has to search through all the CuteEditor scripts as well as my app code.
    3) Could you please release a "Light" version of CuteEditor?  All I need from CuteEditor is simple formatting (bold, underline, strike, italic), HTML anchors, and a spellcheck that works in non-IE browsers.  I don't need an image gallery and all of that.
    4) Could you please get rid of the 22 validation warnings I see every time I compile my app with CuteEditor?
    5) Could you please tell me when the next version of CuteEditor will be released?

    Thank you.

    afroblanco,

    Thanks for the nice inputs.

I will talk this to our developers. The reason we have code in the aspx is: in many situations, developers want to modify the code to meet their particular requirements.

    Yes.

Yes. It's possible.  In the next major version, we will add this feature.

    Yes.

We will release the major version 6.0 before September, 2006. We will release a minor version for the client requests or bug fixes before this major release.

Thank you for your prompt response, Adam.  I will be looking forward to the next version of CuteEditor.

In regards to #1, here's what my "dream scenario" would be for the next version :
    A) CuteSoft distributes the version of CuteEditor that has the code in the .ASPX files, so that developers can still make changes.
    B) CuteSoft distributes a DLL-only version of CuteEditor, for people who just want the standard install.
    C) Along with (A) and (B), CuteSoft provides a way to compile the .ASPX version to the DLL-only version.
