    Pasting the formatted Word

    Hai,

I am pasting the formatted text from a word document onto the cute editor control. Now,

    1. When I say Ctrl+V, it asks me for a question whether to clear the formatting. I say OK it does not remove fully and still retian some portion of the formatting. But, when I say CANCEL it retians it fully. This is not an expected behaviour. When I say OK, it should remove fully and not retain ANY of the formatting.

    2. When I use the context menu to paste the same text, it never prompts me for any cleanigup. It behaves compleetly different with the context menu. Again not an expected behaviour. Also the same if we use the PASTE button on the toolbar.

    Any solutions for these problems???

     3. I wanted to compleetly disable this prompt property and take whatever user is entering with the formatting. So, I went onto the design screen and set the property EDITORONPASTE = 'PasteWord' (Previously it was ConfirmWord). But, even after this it is still asking me the prompt which I did not expect to see. Practically I did not find any difference between 'Paste Word' and 'confirm Word' property values. Any solution?

    4. Now, when I set the property  EDITORONPASTE = 'PasteWord' , it worked perfectly If I am doing Cntrl+V. But, again if I use the toolbar PASTE button or Pasting through ContextMenu, it fails and does not remove the formatting at all. However, I do not want to loose the formatting in any way if there is in the text user is entering.

    5. Now, when I set the property EDITORONPASTE = 'Dsiabled', Cntrl+V never worked and pasting through ToolBar PASTE button or through ContextMenu pastes the text with formatting. I am not sure what is the significance of this feature. Do u want to disable the Paste feature through Cntrl+V.

    6. Now, when I set the property EDITORONPASTE = 'Default', all 3 ways of pasting the text I mentioned above retians the word format and does not prompt for any cleaningup stuff. May be I can proceed with this for now as a temporary work around.

I think I have done some Unit Testing for you here and pointed out some issues which u can fix.

I need solution for Issue#1 atleast. It would be a nice feature to have it. But, unfortunately it is not working. Can you make a fix for this in the coming release at the end of the week??

    Regards,
    Areef.
