Is there a way to limit the html character count and display an alert message?

Does CuteEditor provide a way to limit the number of html characters that are entered? Our developer wants to limit to 1,000 characters (in the html portion). I would like for it to stop the customer when they get to the limit. Is this possible within CuteEditor? Thanks, R
