Changing Font Color changes wrong characters on IE 8/9

Trying to change the text color changes the wrong characters on IE 8 & 9, if using a template with contenteditable="true" and unselectable="on" attributes.

    Repro Steps:

    1. Open a cute editor with a template with protected parts.

    2. Select a word in the unprotected part.

    3. Try to change just the color of that word, by clicking the little arrow in the right of the Font Color button. A color palette will open; select any color.

The wrong characters will be re-colored. It's as if CuteEditor first shifted the selection several characters to the left, and then changed the font color.

Note that if, in step 3, you just click the Font Color button (without opening the palette), the correct characters will be re-colored.

     The work-around is:

    1. Cancel any selection

    2. Change the font color with the Font Color button's drop-down palette

    3. Select your text

    4. Click the Font Color button (without opening the palette).

    Please investigate this issue.
