Get the tag name at caret

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to get the tag name where the caret is positioned.

Assume we have this line of html:

<DIV><p>My caret I is here</p></DIV>

assume the caret is at the red mark .

can we programmatically get the tag name "p"?

Thanks for your response Adam!

That almost solved my problem but it gives me the name of the tag on the whole document (i e the icon or the table that the Editor is in) not the tag within the Editor.

I suppose what I'm looking for is something like

alert(editor1.event.srcElement.tagName);

How can I achieve that?
