Does not render; Syntax error

I am attempting to run the CuteEditor (.NET ver 1.1) using the Deployment instructions EXACTLY and have hit a brick wall. The control, simply, refuses to render properly. All I get is a dreaded Syntax error.

My asmx includes the two lines:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="ce" Namespace="CuteEditor" Assembly="CuteEditor" %>

<ce:Editor id="cedMessageBody" autoconfigure="Simple" runat="server" />

Please help!

1. If you upgrade from an earlier version, please delet the old client files first.

2. If not, please add the following code into your web.config file then try again.

This is a brand new, clean install (6.3), so I tried option 2. No luck.

Initially, I tried this:

That rendered an error that it didn't know how to "GET". Then I tried this:

Same syntax error.

FYI - I just tried it again without the FTB line. Still no luck.

Can you run this file in your browser:

http://sitename/application/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/load.ashx?type=scripts&file=IE_Loader&showtext=1

Please change site name and applicationn name based on your own situation.

That worked - thank you!

That page was generating an exception in my Global.asax.cs. Once I addressed the exception, the editor rendered fine. I recommend adding some exception handling that gives better feedback to the user/developer in this sort of situation.
