RTF Bullets Not Being Exported / Loaded Correctly

When exporting to RTF, bullets are not being generated correctly.

For these tests, assume I have two applications, A and B.  App A uses Cute Editor, App B uses a different RTF editor.

TEST 1 - RTF Export from App A
If I enter the following into App A***:

    • this
    • is
    • a
    • test
then when I export RTF and reload it in App A, I (incorrectly) get:

    ·this
    ·is
    ·a
    ·test

PLEASE NOTE:  Once the RTF is loaded, I CANNOT add a bullet between "is" and "a" simply by pressing enter after "is."  However, when I originally entered the information into App A, this DID work properly.

When I load the exported RTF in App B, I (incorrectly) get:

    · this

    · is

    · a

    · test

PLEASE NOTE:  Once the RTF is loaded, I CANNOT add a bullet between "is" and "a" simply by pressing enter after "is."

RTF generated from App A (Cute Editor):
    {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang1033{\colortbl;\red0\green0\blue0;}{\fonttbl {\f0\fswiss\fcharset1252 Times New Roman;} }{\*\generator CuteEditor 5.0;}\viewkind4\uc1\pard\cf1\f0\fs24\qj\b0\i0\ulnone \par \cf1\f0\fs24\qj\b0\i0\ulnone{\pntext\'B7\tab}this\par \cf1\f0\fs24\qj\b0\i0\ulnone{\pntext\'B7\tab}is\par \cf1\f0\fs24\qj\b0\i0\ulnone{\pntext\'B7\tab}a\par \cf1\f0\fs24\qj\b0\i0\ulnone{\pntext\'B7\tab}test}

TEST 2 - RTF Export from App B
When I enter the following into App B (the same as I entered in App A)***:

  • this
  • is
  • a
  • test
  • then when I export RTF and load it in App A, I (incorrectly) get:

    ·this
    ·is
    ·a
    ·test

PLEASE NOTE:  Once the RTF is loaded, I CANNOT add a bullet between "is" and "a" simply by pressing enter after "is."

When I load the exported RTF in App B, I (correctly) get***:
  • this
  • is
  • a
  • test
  • PLEASE NOTE:  Once the RTF is loaded, I CAN add a bullet between "is" and "a" simply by pressing enter after "is."

    RTF generated from App B:
    {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang1033{\fonttbl{\f0\froman\fcharset0 Times New Roman;}{\f1\fnil\fcharset2 Symbol;}} \viewkind4\uc1\pard{\pntext\f1\'B7\tab}{\*\pn\pnlvlblt\pnf1\pnindent0{\pntxtb\'B7}}\fi-200\li200\f0\fs24 this \par {\pntext\f1\'B7\tab}is \par {\pntext\f1\'B7\tab}a \par {\pntext\f1\'B7\tab}test \par }

    CONCLUSIONS
The bullets, when exported to RTF, are not being loaded correctly by Cute Editor, even if the RTF was originally exported from Cute.  This seems to imply that exporting the bullets in RTF does not seem to be working properly either, since they do not load properly in either editor, if that is the case.

Can you please let me know when there will be a fix for this, or in the meantime, if there is a workaround?

    Thanks,
    -Chris

***EDIT:  I'm not sure why, but my post, some of the bullets are not showing up when I view it.  Items marked with *** should all be exactly the same as the first entry in which they appear ("Enter the following into App A:").

    crp,

For the RTF issue, please wait for the version 6.1.

The development of the current parser is terminated. We will include a new parser when version 6.1 comes up.

Re: RTF Bullets Not Being Exported / Loaded Correctly

not true it is still doing the same thing... I'm tearing my hair out.
How can I control the rtf output, why can't cute editor rtf what it can input, for instance I can paste a word table into an editor instance, but the rtf is rubbish, is there anyway I can reproduce what I see in the cute editor in an rtf.

    thanks
