What is the difference between using the Normale Uploader and the PresistedFileUploader. Can you not get access to the uploaded files in both cases. Is one more efficient than the other.

In some situations, you need to persist the selected files during page postbacks, then save the uploaded file.

Ajax Uploader can hold an object temporarily and you can save it anytime you want.

 

Here is a good example:

 

Ajax based user profile
User profile is the primary part of a community application. Ever wanted to allow users update the images of their profiles using AJAX without reloading the page? Check it now!

 

1. When users change their profile, the uploader just hold the object temporarily instead of saving the file.

 

2. Once the user finish editing the profile, click the save button.

 

The uploader will save the file then.
