embed automatic insert <div> tag

when I begin to type in the cute editor (v6.3) window my text gets wrapped inside of a div tag automatically - how do you turn that off?

does cute editor HAVE to embed what I type into a <p> or a <div>? I looked at your example and no matter what I do the text I type gets wrapped inside of a <p> tag or a <div> tag. Anyway to avoid that?
