I downloaded the demo and tried to run the default page after following all the instructions but I'm getting the error below and can't  get any further.

 

Parser Error Message: Could not load type CuteEditor.Editor from assembly CuteEditor, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3858aa6802b1223a.

This line is highlighted within the page.

Line 26: <CE:Editor id="Editor1" EditorWysiwygModeCss="../example.css" runat="server" ></CE:Editor><br />

Most of theses issues can be resolved by recopying all the CuteEditor clients files and CuteEditor Dlls to your server.

Hi and thanks, but forgive me if I haven't understood properly but I copied and re-copied the Cute Editor for .NET files unto the server running the website (namely my pc) at this point. The files are in the directories that the installation instructions have specified but I still get the same error as before.

Any other ideas?

Can you explain your site structure?

Yes, its just a very basic .Net website written in c# with two pages that need to be editable, a login page and a config file. Nothing complicated at all. At the moment, the site is in rough format and is funtioning ok as is. Once I'm happy with an editing software then the html and small amount of code can be tidied up.

 

Its currently running from my pc but will be moved to a server afterwards and needs to be editable by non-techies.
