    Files with special characters (eg. äöü) cause problems and are not stored correctly on the file system. See screenshot.
    Same on our Demo-Uploader. Everything works fine with Microsoft Windows.
     
    Can you guess where the problem is?

    Hi coolio74,
     
    Please try the way below
     
    1. Open file \phpuploader\include_phpuploader.php
    2. Find section below
    $PhpUploader_FSEncoding="ISO-8859-1//TRANSLIT";
    3. Change it to your own encoding of the special characters

    Hi ken.
    No matter what encoding I select. It is wrong.

    I believe Apple is working with UTF-16. That there is an error in phpfileuploader if this is the selected encoding:

    "Server side exeption, feiled to upload Testfile äöü.jpg. Debug Information: (1) tmp_name is not exist /tmp/phpoN6..."

    Hello ken.
    I have tried many things from now. I can not find a solution.
    I think the problem is in the core code and can be eliminated only by you.

    Try this demo. special characters are correctly implemented (also with mac):
