When I use the font verdana it doesn’t write the font name in the HTML tag, why is that?

Example:

This is when I chose verdana:

<P><STRONG><FONT color=red>Hehwebhjbwbflhwebf</FONT></STRONG></P>

This is when I chose arial:

<P><STRONG><FONT face=Arial color=red>Hehwebhjbwbflhwebf</FONT></STRONG></P>
